Retirement: Jim Daniel Retires from Valley High School
Jim, after 43 years of teaching and thousands of students through your door, THANKS! What an outstanding career. It's time to relax, minister, emjoy your hobbies and travel. Jim's Retirement was celebrated with a Retirement Open House Sunday, May 21, 2006, 6-9 p.m. at the Clive Aquatic Special Events Building, 1801 NW 114th Street, Clive, Iowa.
There will be a 2006 "All School" reunion on August 12th at the Val Air. The class of '66 is holding their reunion at the same time, we believe.
In February 1999, the Valley music program earned a Grammy,
becoming the first high school in the nation to be recognized
as a National Grammy Signature School. This is the first year
for the Recording Academy Program, co-sponsored by Target
Stores, to recognize the nation's best high school program.
VHS representatives received the Grammy February 23 in
Los Angeles.
